Question about TTing and Gracie...

So, I have finally spent enough in the T.I.Y. for Gracie to show up. Actually, she just did today! I read somewhere that I could get all 4 fashion checks done in one day, by first completing the fashion check, then TTing to 5:59 in the morning to restart it.
Would this work?

And a silly follow-up question- would this cause any of my villagers to move out?

Yes, this works. Make sure your doing 5:59 am of the same day. You will have to continue checking on your villagers to make sure no one is moving out/in.
