Question about time travelling

So lets say it's Christmas 2017 and Jingle is in town. I give out all the presents and receive my gift. Now, I time travel forward, lets say a year, and then TT back again to christmas 2017. Can I take part in the gift giving again?
Same with items in the shop, if I've bought items and time travel back, will the items no longer be available to be purchased? Will there be a whole new set of items?

probably, but i don't know for sure. the items in shops will have refreshed, though. i know because i time travel a lot

I think for both situations it would be right if you went back in time just before 06:00 AM, which is in this time that usually the game resets everything to a new day. I'm not sure btw

I'm fairly sure that you would be able to participate again because the game would count them as different days, though I wouldn't advise you to do that because if you care about keeping specific villagers, time traveling that far ahead runs the risk of a villager moving out of your town. Additionally, if you did go through with it, you'd probably want to time travel to somewhere earlier in December of the following year because if you went straight to Toy Day, you'd have no clue what gifts the villagers wanted.

I can't speak to the time traveling backward issue because I don't time travel backward, but from what I've gathered from reading the forums over the years and from context clues of my own time travel, if you time traveled forward, played, and saved the game then the game would consider the older Toy Day to be a different day than it originally was. I hope that makes sense.

I'm pretty sure you will be able to participate as long as its after 6AM (I'm not 100% on that). Theres always a risk of losing villagers in the time travel, so if you want specific villagers in your town that you already have or that are in a certain place then i wouldn't recommend doing it. If you don't mind any of that then again it should work. The shops will refresh as well because of the time traveling! good luck friend!

I tried doing the toy day twice, and wasn't able to.
My TT'g was all in 2017 though.
