Question about time travel

I have been working quite a bit on my town, and I think the style of it looks best in the fall. However, when it was the fall, my town wasn't in the style it is in now. My question is, if I travel back in time into the fall, update my dream address, and then traveled back to todays date, would it mess things up? Thank you!

Yep, you can do it. First, make sure you talk to everyone and stop anyone from moving out. Then jump all the way back to the date you want to update your dream address in. Again, look around and stop anyone from moving out before you travel forward. Jump forward to present day. If you stop someone from moving out before you time travel, then travelling forward is safe.

Travelling backwards any amount counts as 1 day, but travelling forward counts as days passed. So you will notice weeds and clovers when you travel forward again.

Also, make sure you have Beautiful Town ordinance activated before you time travel if you don't want to lose precious flowers. It takes a day for the ordinance to take effect after you talk to Isabelle, but if you don't wait for it, you can have a lot of flowers die when you time travel forward again.

Honestly, I'm not sure what happens if they want to move out and you don't stop them, then move back a month (never done that before). Because moving backwards counts as 1 day I'm just assuming that they will tell you [x] days from the new date that they will move out. But I wouldn't take any chances. Whenever time travelling (forwards or backwards), always be on the look out for moving villagers you want to stop. If you like travelling forward 1 day at a time like me, it's not that big of a deal because after the update they now take 10 days to move out so it's pretty easy to stop them at some point during your play. But if you are travelling forward in large amounts in one go, you will have to find someone to ping first! If you really can't find someone that will ping you to move on one day, time travel forward 1 day and see if that helps. In my experience, since the update, someone asks to move every day or every other day which is really annoying lol.
