Question about the Nook Miles Ticket islands

So, I've been checking this guide https://wuffs.org/acnh/mysterytour.html
for help with the islands, and right now I'm on "Curly River Island"... but there are no bugs spawning other than water bugs.

When certain bugs or fish spawn on NMT islands, are they restricted by the time of day? Or month of the year? Is my island just broken?

Time and season restrict bug spawns. So you can't set up on a tarantula island before the in-game time is 7 PM.

time of day when you enter it is a limit, say you enter at 6:55pm, you won't get what spawns after 7pm. i made a post about the lack of bugs as well, night time and it's almost none for me.

That's really a shame... I thought the islands were a way to get those rare bugs and fish without having to be restricted by seasons. Like that it would be guaranteed they'd be there haha
