All of my games are on a 2GB SD Card and I really want to switch to an 8GB and I found [this] but it doesn't specify if I can copy over my save data with the software data. Has anyone ever had to do this (successfully)? Please help~

You can do it with software. When I went from my 4GB to 32GB, I had some small games on there. I copied the data and it all carried over correctly. No save data was lost, and I didn't have to re-download anything.

Just make sure to format the new SD card as per their instructions, and you'll be fine.

Ah you were referring to Nintendo cards. Yes it's pretty much drag and drop if you want to switch, make sure to eject and insert properly.

I actually just dragged and dropped my data from my old SD card to the new one. Easy as pie~

I used my laptop that had an SD Card slot.

Copied the stuff on my old 4GB SD card into a folder on the desktop, put in my new 32GB SD card, then copied it over onto it.

Quick and painless, took less than 3 minutes.
