Question about players moving to other towns

When you move a regular player to a new town, and when you go through Rover's long chat until you look over 4 maps but don't like them and restart. Does that delete the player that's trying to move to a new town or does nothing happen and you're still able to move a regular player to a new town?

Once you get to that point,it's just like any other new town move.Your character stays the same and you can keep resetting until you get a map and villagers that you like.
