Hey everyone :>

I have a simple question about moving villagers. Ok, say a villager moves out. And there is that empty spot where the villager used to live. If another villager comes to live iny town, will the new villager move into the same spot thay the old villager used to live in?

I have tons of paths, flowers, and trees setup and I would hate if a new villager came to movie in, and ruin any paths or things I was planning on putting in a different spot.

If you're confused, let me know, I can explain it again hahah ^_^
Thanks for your time!

theres a chance, but if you do the villager placement reset trick you could kinda choose where they move.

tsundere's right. i would do the reset trick so you don't ruin your town - especially if they're a pretty crummy villager aha

Thanks for the replies ^_^

I honestly don't know what the reset trick thingy is. Can you guys explain to me? Or possibly link me to a tutorial?

That would be helpful, thanks :>

basically, before you play at all start with a new character. dont start with your main. if you do, it's too late.

blahblah talk to rover
okay so when you're on your new character, walk around and look for a villager plot. if you have 8 villagers, then i would be really careful and start with a new one everyday. (on the 7th day you will always get a villager plot btw)

if you don't see one, then exit i guess and play on your main.

if you see one and its in a bad place, reset. don't save your new character.
if you like the villager and its in an okay place, then save and build your house somewhere yeah.

if you have 9 then i would say it would be pretty safe but just be careful of moving villagers from towns you visit.
uh theres a guide that explains better in detail but yeah

oh yeah when you place the house, if you delete the character afterwards just know it leaves an ugly spot of dead grass. i would put the house in the same spot every time
