Question about moving Villagers out (Amiibo Update)

Hi guys, as many of you know, with the new Amiibo Update we are able to move out unwanted villagers in order to switch them for Amiibo Villagers when our Town is at full capacity.

When this takes place, does the unwanted villager get put in boxes and is able to be traded with another, or do they just vanish?

I would really appreciate your answers on this. Thanks

The go into boxes immediately and then are gone the next day. Yes they can be traded, the only ones that can't be traded are the ones gotten from Zelda or Splatoon amiibos as far as I know
