i saw somewhere that once you move in a villager via their amiibo card, they won’t ask to move out on their own. is this true or just a rumour? can anyone debunk it from personal experience?

thanks in advance for the help !!

it looks like it's different for everyone. i've never had them ask to move out, but i've watched some vinesauce streams where they have. and the game wasn't hacked or anything. it's lame, i wish it was more universal whether or not they ask to move.

From my personal experience, the Amiibo villagers will not move out naturally. I was devastated at first, but I just find some cheap Amiibos of my favorite villagers and move them in.

I had 7 amiibo's and 3 normal villagers just over a year ago.

It took six months for one of the amiibo's to ping to move.

I almost deleted my town over it, but instead, I made it an all amiibo town, and have who I want, where I want. ^_^

I want to say if you have naturally moved in villagers, the amiibo scanned villagers will very VERY rarely ask to move (I haven't had them do this so far, only my naturals have)

I wonder, if you have 10 amiibo scanned villagers then... will the game try to move them out normally? seems logical.

I have ten amiibo's, so yes, they ping normally.

BUT.. If you let one move out, and a non amiibo moves in, the non amiibo will ping every second time.

If you have 8 amiibo's and two non amiibo's, the non amiibo's will take turns pinging, and that could go on indefinately.

I was hoping that would happen, because it would be unfair to people without amiibo I suppose :p

I've got 8 amiibo villagers and 2 natural villagers, and it seems to be random which one asks to move. Marshal has asked me twice in a row this week!

They really need to make it so amiibo's ping the same as regular villagers.

I felt I was forced to make my town an all amiibo town, because back then, I didn't know about plot resetting, and the amiibo's literally ruined my town.

They moved in behind, beside, and IN FRONT of me.
I lost all of my grass moving them out and new ones in.

Then I learned to plot reset, and I have it the way I want it. Though it would have been nice to have the choice.

It was either delete my town, or make the best of the mess amiibo's put me in.

my town is an all amiibo town as well and about 2 days after everyone settled in, one of them ping me to move. i said no. lol now it's been almost a week and no one has ping me to move so it's kind of weird. in a way, i don't want to scan anyone else in because i'm tired of plot resetting. it can take a very long time!
