So today is my birthday and I was wondering something. Earlier this month, I time traveled to a date after my birthday and got a homemade cake from Mom. Will I be getting another one today?

Happy bday. If the amount of you TT is approx 30 day difference you would likely get it or wherever mom item is associated with the month.

nope. you have to give it on your birthday. the initial dialogue would trigger the gifting of the cupcake.
Okay, so... can you only give it to the birthday guests, then? Or if you left the house and found a wandering villager could you give it to them to try and get an extra birthday gift?

I was gonna TT to November after August fireworks season (can't wait for the mush recipes, lol) but I think I'll stop off in October before I do, since I have two character birthdays then
My main character's birthday I'll still wait on... it's the same as mine and isn't until January

after you get kidnap and do the bday thing you can give it to any villagers as stated by @Aurita.
You can only celebrate your bday once a year. If you TT to another year to celebrated the bday it will work. Then you can celebrate the previous year again. eg Bday is 1/2/2020. I celebrate 1/2/2020. then I can goto 1/2/2021 to celebrate it. then return to 1/2/2020 to celebrate it again
it's a bit confusing but if you need any help lmk.
Ah, good to know! I haven't celebrated the October b-days yet, so those'll work! I've also been recreating some old characters with names I prefer, so I may as well grab their b-days "again"
