Question About Inviting Villagers...

If you have a full ten spaces on your island, then can you still adopt from another island? For example, when you invite a villager via amiibo, then another villager moves out. Does this work when you invite a villager from another town? I know this sounds like a dumb question, but I couldn't find a definite answer.

Unfortunately no. You have to have an open plot to adopt from another island.
