PWP Trick Help?

Can someone suggest ways that may increase my chances of getting a PWP request? I need the Fire Pit PWP from Poncho before I can let him go but he isn't suggesting anything but new catchphrases and greetings :/

I don't think that there's any other way to get him to suggest any faster. Really just down to luck and patience.
It took me 7 attempts until Lolly finally gave me a PWP suggestion...a freaking outdoor chair...

But maybe you could try and befriend him. Talk to him, complete his requests, etc.
A higher friendship level could help increase the chances of a PWP suggestion. In my second town, I previously talked to Muffy quite a lot before getting Uchi PWPs, and she pinged me within 1-3 attempts.

Do you know about the diving trick? If so, a useful way to get a PWP from a specific villager is to dig holes around them and trap them in somewhere! That way you know exactly where they are and can avoid your other villagers ha

Just keep trying the PWP trick and be patient. Sometimes they're stubborn about suggesting PWPs. Don't forget that they can only suggest one PWP per day, so if you've gotten requests from other villagers, you need to wait until the next day before trying again (or time travel).
