PwP question

So I do the water trick for PwP and I always get a ding for something but since I've been wearing the royal crown and I never get a ding. Royal crown cursed or something?

Sometimes when you've been playing on your game too long, the villagers tend to not ping because they will tell you that you need to take a break. So just save and start your game up again. I'm not sure if the crown is just a coincidence or not?
