I hate the main room in my house and I really don't know what to do with it.

I love all the other rooms but because the main one is bigger and has loads of doors leading out of it, it's just so awkward to design! So I was wondering if some kind person would visit my DA to get a feel for my town and the rest of my house, then give me some advice for the main room.

Here's my DA: 7100-4301-2836

Oh and the kitchen does have a table and chairs but they're currently being edited so they're out of the room :)

Just some ideas ^-^:

I've not visited your DA yet but I had a hard time with my main room as well, I ended up using the large bookshelf line-up against the wall so it makes the room a bit more smaller and cozier.. and if you have a back room it could be kind of cool as almost a hidden or secret room then behind the bookcase. I found the room was a lot easier to sort out when it wasn't so huge >.<

wow i already love the way it looks! :D (as well with all your other rooms!!)

but if it's the space in between the walls and the table that's troubling you, i suggest instead of lining the mushroom dresser parallel against the wall, maybe have it so that it's more horizontal (with the front side facing you of course) to make some kind of partition, then placing a sofa behind it (back to back always kinda looks nice?) for the tv and putting whatever 1x1 furniture that suits the room to fill the spaces in wherever it needs it? and pushing the table slightly closer to the fireplace which i think will make homely mood. :blush: and i've also struggled with the awkward doors!! but i had some furnitures just cover one part of the door and i thought it looked pretty okay! (maybe pushing down the dresser to do it?) only the ones on the sides though cause i found that it looked too stand out-y if it's the back one haha;;

idk if what i said even sounds like it's nice cause i guess it's a kinda difficult to explain it without getting too tedious, but i hope you find a way to make your main room look nice in your eyes :)

I haven't visited your DA yet (but I probably will visit later!!), but I know that what is really useful is to divide the room up into four segments that are in each of the corners, leaving the cross section of the doors open. that way it's full but also allows adequate space
