So, i started to put paths in my town yesterday and i never thought i will do it since it will takes ages to do and i'm lazy but i started it anyways and feel a bit proud? With paths my town look a bit nicer and organize(?) i think. And i just realized that we can't drop items on the path because i hit a balloon which right above the path and the present disappear. So i guess that is one of the cons of having path in your town? May i know what more are the cons of placing paths in your town. And are you prefer your town with paths or natural.

I prefer natural, but I don't like how spotty grasswear looks and it's very hard to make natural dirt paths and keep them up.

Pros:
- Can look nice
- Won't see grass wear

Cons:
- May require multiple parts/multiple characters to lay down
- Can take a long time to path a whole village
- Some paths only look good in certain seasons
- Can't put items on top of paths

I prefer having paths just so I don't run into things that I shouldn't (like running over and crushing hybrids). It also helps keep the wear on your grass to certain sections. I also use it as kind of a guide to wherever I'm going. Paths take a while to lay down but once you do you're pretty much set - you can just swap the qr for a different one when you want a different path.

The only real con for me is like what you said, dropped stuff (balloons, fruit) disappear under paths. I never go after balloons or shake the fruit off my trees much so it's not much of an issue for me.

the reason i started to put paths is because i keep trampled my hybrids and i want a neat looking paths as well. looks like i have to section the town into paths and non paths

When I started my second town, I put down paths the second I was finally able to, even though there still isn't much in it. I've gotten so used to having paths that I feel lost without them. I visited a DA this morning and they had no paths and I didn't know where to go and felt totally lost. I'm used to relying on paths so I rarely use the top screen map when I'm moving around towns.

I went half way, I just have a cute stone like path that leads the villager houses, recycle, ect
that way its safe for me to run somewhat, and if I have other players over and they wanna... run its somewhat safer? That's what I figured anyway \owo/

I have so many pros and cons ahah, I don't play or bother with them as much however my biggest con was the mere fact that every time I tried to pick something up, "oops, got rid of a design xD" I always had to repave my paths; but a big pro would be it definitely adds flair to my town, without the paths I feel it's a bit too basic looking; I love finding just the right path to add to the type of story/theme I have in my town; I gave it a Las Vegas feel but with very pretty paths haha. So overall:

Pros-
Adds some vibrancy/color and design
Looks nice overall when matched with good PWPs
Can become very well placed and fir nicely throughout the town
etc.

Cons-
Can be a hassle to put in perfect order
Can take forever to place everywhere
Gets removed accidentally all too easily
etc.

I would say it balances between pros and cons, but then again I always just love the finishing touch and admiring it : )

I prefer my town natural, i like the way it looks and there's no maintenance involved. But i enjoy visiting towns that have nice-looking pathways installed.

I prefer no paths. But as King Dad said, I enjoy visiting towns that do - so long as they're done with care. It's very easy to just lay down a path but not take design into account.
