Problems finding villagers?

Anyone else ever had a huge problem finding a certain villager? I found a lost item this morning and was able to find everyone except Ruby. And I've literally looked everywhere and I can't find her.

Have you tried calling her with the megaphone?

maybe she's in the museum or at the shops. have you tried checking?

Yeah I lookd several times in the shops and museum.

Have you tried TTing to nighttime, say, past 8 p.m.?

The megaphone seems to help me most of the time, if you haven't tried yet o u o Searching for villagers is kind of a pain sometimes. One time I saw Rudy in Re-Tail, and when I went straight to Able Sisters he was in there too. u v u

So maybe the villager did that sort of "teleporting" thing when you didn't notice?

Yaaay it worked, I finally found her and returned her bag. I hate having those things turn into empty bags.

I have a lot of trouble finding villagers. Sometimes I cant find a villager for a whole day.

Ugh, I hate it when that happens. I swear they teleport sometimes. Like, one minute they will be in the museum, and the next minute they will be in Re-Tail or something. Maybe you just keep missing this particular villager? You could always try reloading your game, and maybe they will be in a different spot.

It seems like whenever I want to find one of my villagers the most, they're in the museum and I'm to lazy to go find them. XD

Same! When I recently got Coco a second time, she was not outside of her house for a few days in a row, she was in the museum. :/ she's always in one of the backrooms of the insect observatory.

Whenever this happens to me, I just save and quit and then they'll be there either in their house or walking around. If not, just wait? I think it takes a few days before it actually becomes trash. Newer villagers for me seem to wander around more since they might be new and still exploring the town. Cousteau took about 3-4 days before he was even wandering around/in his home.

Earlier I had three villagers missing, but one was in the Able Sisters shop, and the other two were in the museum, looking at fish.
A little while after that, I had three other villagers missing, and the original missing three were out and about in the town.
It was odd.
