What happens when you choose ''problematic citizens'' (while talking to isabelle in the town hall)?

She will ask which villager is the problem. She will then ask whats wrong with them:
?His or her clothes are wrong
?His or her words are not nice
?He or she has a naughty letter
Etc.

Even if you say they are the problem,friendship level does not decrease.

That option is there for you to remove things like dirty shirts/catchphrases/letters, etc. It's there to prevent trolling or rude stuff being posted in your or someone elses town that is inappropriate.

if you choose the his/her clothes are wrong option, it will reset the villagers to a gym tee. i think it only works when they are wearing a custom design, but ew the gym tees look ugly on villagers.
if you choose the bad language option it will remove their greeting and change their catchphrase to, "uh-huh"

i kinda feel like isabelle tortures them after i tell them that, because they won't dare to say their old catchprase
