Problem with purple pansies

Hi, so I bought 2 purple pansies in order to start breeding them, but for a week or so I haven’t been able to breed them? I water only them with a golden watering can, tried different placing, made sure other hybrids don’t breed randomly. Everything I get is white pansies. I’ve checked the guides and everyone says that purple+purple is a guaranteed purple. And I get white pansies somehow!
Can somebody please explain what am I doing wrong?

I don't know much, probably nothing, but the thing that struck me most was you said - I bought 2 pansies.
Its been reported (a lot) that hacked blue roses do not produce more blue roses, only white.

So if your 2 pansies were hacked ones (you could ask the seller?) then its possible pansies act similar to roses and won't give more hybrids.

Spacing - I saw a good post by Jon_Snow on here about spacing. He might post again, I'll try and see if I can find a link.

either they were hacked or you're just unlucky

how many days have you attempted hybreeding? if over a week I'd almost def say hacked

If they truly are only producing white pansies, and nothing else, it's likely they are hacked unfortunately. However, if they do produce red pansies at any point, I would recommend breeding those pansies along with it.

I can understand your frustration, and I am willing to give you two purple pansies for free. Bred only by myself.

yeah they're probably hacked / duped
i have purple pansies in my town that i grew myself and they breed like crazy

I agree with the posts above. They're possibly hacked hybrids. I have purple pansies and they breed freely.

Purple pansies proliferate freely. When watered, I can't stop them from growing. I didn't know hacked flowers did not produce offspring. That's a total bummer. But I don't have any hacked items. If you need some non-hacked purple pansies, shoot me a message and you can come over and have some of mine. They are like rabbits, they will breed

I bought a couple of purple pansies once and learned that way that hacked flowers won’t reproduce. After that I made sure to ask specifically for legit flowers because I wanted to breed more for myself, and the next time I bought flowers off this site they were legit. So that’s my advice - ask for legit only flowers and hopefully a hacker won’t approach.

if any flower you try to breed produces the white version of theirselves, then they are hacked. better to breed hybrids yourself or buy them from a trusted breeder.
