Probled with trees, help please?

Alright, so I planted a 4x4 orchard like this. They're not touching anything like walls or other trees.
A whole row of them died.

X = Tree.
O = Empty Space.
Z = Dead Tree.
------- = Empty Row To Seperate.

Why did the one row die? Can someone help me out please? Thanks.

maybe you have to many trees i heard at certian point you can have so many trees that they won't grow anymore

But like, what are the chances all the trees in the one column would die? I chopped a lot of trees before I did this.

there's been a post like this before, and i think the answer was this:

"try planting them like this!

X = tree
O = blank spot
--- = seperate rows

XOXOXOX
-------------
OXOXOXO
-------------
XOXOXOX
-------------
OXOXOXO"

i believe it worked for the person that was having problems... i'm too lazy to go through all the posts to find it again, lol.

No man, A friend of myn has just about as many trees as a town can hold... there is no more room to put another.

This happened a few times in my orchads.
Its just a dead spot, not trees will grow there no matter what

Hmm, that's weird , idk, I think it's cause there prob in a bad spot, or too many trees by them

What I've done in my '' Dead Spot '' is put Hybrid flowers, it looks awesome!
