Preventing villagers from moving out?

Happy Shamrock Day awesome forum!!!

Just today I got the message when I started up my game that T-Bone, one of my favorite villagers, will be moving out tomorrow. I AM SHATTERED! This is completely out of the blue! Is there any way that I can keep him? Please help me!

Sorry there's none.

Only way is you complete 16 cycle to get him back or find a new one to replace. Sorry to hear this happen on you.

Not if Isabelle told you on start-up - that means he's in boxes.

You may request somebody hold him for you until you have cycled through 16 villagers, then he'd be able to move back in - as soon as he was leaving their town, that is.

Wait, I'm new to this. What do you mean by requesting someone to hold him, and what is the 16 villager thing?

I mean, allowing someone with space in their town to pick him up and keep him in their town until you are able to move him back in - this is instead of sending him to the void, which is a fan term for villagers who move out of your town but haven't specifically moved into somebody elses' town - although they might show up for someone else via streetpass or after online play.
