I've got the T.I.Y. center, now I'm just waiting for Gracie! I bought a lot of clothes and wrote down which goes with what style's outfit so I can be prepared. Did anyone else do this, or something similar? If you've already had Gracie, what was your theme and what did you wear?

I had a LOT of clothes stored before Gracie came along, but I never knew about her until I joined these forums xD.
I'm sure you'll be fine, although I didn't have any clothing for the "Modern" look, surprisingly.

I had a hard time with "Modern" and "Historical". Luckily, those don't clash with anything, so I think I have some solid outfits (they'll at least look good while I'm doing it).
Just noticed I'm using the blue pumps for both, go figure.

yep I have every type covered and stored in my museum...today was the first day she showed up and of course she asked for modern! I only have a top, sunglasses and shoes for it but I mixed it with items from the cute category and passed thankfully! 
I probably should, but I'm way too lazy for that. 
She actually already showed up a few days after T.I.Y. was built, and I just barely passed. I think I had like three items from the theme? As long as I pass I don't care, I just want to unlock her store. c: I haven't seen her since though, so four passes are probably going to take a while.

i had so much cute stuff but she didnt ask for one of them
luckily i had some stuff already in my catalog so yeah (had no rock and roll, which was my last theme. there was a rock n roll shirt and pant tho at able sisters so bless)

I haven't seen her yet, either, and I've had TIY for two weeks 
I have all my clothes sorted into categories - my three mannequins each have a different themed outfit, and the rest are in sections of my cupboard. The only thing I don't have enough of is modern - I only have a shirt - so I am guessing that's what she'll ask for first...

I've never had Gracie come, but then again, I just restarted a few hours ago, so now I'll be set back a bit- but I have a million bells, so I'll probably just buy random stuff from Nookling Junction until they upgrade a few times.
Also, in order to pass a fashion check, you must have an accessory/hat, a shirt, pants, and shoes. I don't think you need socks, though. Matching hairstyles and colors are only required if they aren't covered by something. Lastly, Gracie will refuse to talk to you if you have bedhead!

Gracie came to my town for the first time today, even though I've had TIY for weeks. Of course she asks for modern clothing, of which there is hardly any. Luckily Able Sisters' had a dress and some glasses and I was able to pass with only two items, which surprised me.

I have had T.I.Y for a few weeks now and still no sign of Gracie, I have half a museum room full of clothes at the moment.
Wait, there are matching hairstyles? Do you mean wigs, or the haircuts themselves?

What clothes do you have already?
Swell shirt, having trouble with modern shoes, hat, glasses or pants.
I'm looking online and it doesn't look like there are modern pants, just the cool dress. For shoes, there's only the stripe pumps (does anyone have these and want to help out?)
The only hat and glasses are Gracie items. I hope someone is able to help!

i had gracie for the first time yesterday and it was the historical look. luckily, my sister had the sailor's hat and some black formal pants so i was okay! i need to start getting outfits together.
