Popular Villagers Who You Dislike (besides Raymond)

I find the whole 'tiers' thing you have going on around here really amusing, to be honest.
Before I found this site, I had no concept that certain villagers were much more popular than others in the community, and assumed that there'd be fans of all. It's fair to say I haven't figured out what makes a villager popular yet!
I had Marshal on my island and thought he was cool enough, but he was waaaaaaay below Shep in the cool smug stakes. My friend who visited my island was horrified by his appearance as she said he looked like an angry doodle that got left half finished, which made me laugh!
My three year old son who I play a bit of the game with really didn't warm to Marshal despite loving everyone else, and he's the only villager we've allowed to leave.
It would be boring if we all liked the same villagers, though.

I had to check the tier list on forums for a bit since I do not follow social media and my sense of who is popular is not good. I actually don't seem to really like a lot of the popular villagers, but for many I am more indifferent.
I really don't like Zucker though. He creeps me out. I also don't like Pietro because of the whole clown aesthetic. I also dislike stitches because uh... do I need to explain this? And Sherb.... Sherb looks... Weird? He looks like a combination of a goat and a little child. Someone mentioned he fell in the uncanny valley and I think that is right.
For people wondering why Apollo is popular... I am going to assume it is because he looks like an actual eagle. His design is simple, and sometimes less is more. I imagine this is part of why Marshal is so popular too.

When I first got ACNH, I knew I wanted Fauna, Audie, Marshal and Marina on my island.
I got them all and with the exception of Marshal (who won't leave) they're all gone.
Fauna was just boring
Audie was just not what I expected and the night time sunglasses were weird
Marshal - I think because I have his card he's not so special
Marina - I also have Marina's card, and she's cute, but I don't love octopi as much as I thought I would.

Tangy - this smallpox victim scared the crap out of me when she moved into my town in CF. I was desperate to get rid of her, and oranges are my #1 fav fruit (tied with mangos)
Coco - a rabbit with its eyes gouged out, gaping empty eyesockets stare at you from behind a tree. Hop hop... hop hop... it's getting closer and closer...
Judy - a demented mashup of a carebear and a teletubby, since bears don't have open faces like that without a distinct snout area
Chrissy & Francine - humans wearing rabbit skinsuits, faces peering out
Pietro - do I really need to explain this one? People who actually like him are the ones that should have to explain themselves
Biskit - moldy ears and eyes rolled back in his head

Judy‘s design is a bit over the top for me. I like her colours but her eyes put me off for some reason.
I never got the Zucker hype (those of you who do; you’re valid. please don’t come for me ;; ). His head is so shiny and it freaks me out! Not to mention he’s literal food walking around as if eternally trying to escape his gruesome fate (of being consumed)... it creeps me out to no end! I much prefer Octavian tbh.
Goldie... I love dogs in general. Goldie, not so much. It’s not that I dislike her but she looks so bland imo and I’m also not a fan of the eyes.
Moe and Pekoe are also on my list. Starting to think I may have an eye thing. I’m very specific with how I like my villager’s eyes lmao. Are Moe and Pekoe considered popular though?
And lastly, Beau. He’s a sweet boi but I find his design kinda bland compared to other deer villagers like Erik or Fuschia. I’ve never made a connection with him in any of my towns. He’s still cute in his own little way tho and I can see why so many people like him, he’s just not my cup of tea.
Apollo is a superior eagle badass and a delight. I am sad to announce that those who have mentioned his name in this thread will not be receiving an invitation to Coolville any time soon (a place I totally made up just now. You’re welcome to my island though! lol). Thank you.

Lucky. I really don't get the hype. He looks sad and his house is creepy as hell. He moved into my island from someone's void and I spent so much time trying to get him out.
