okay i generally hate these threads because villagers are such a personal opinion sort of thing and the only person who can truly know what villager you will prefer is YOU but i'm making this thread because i'm super torn between the two and i'd like to know how other people view these two villagers so i know how they would affect the vibe of my island.
SO my island is completely split in half between town and forest.
my town area is a SUPER bright colorful happy vibe with rainbow brick paths everywhere and a ton of pink and pastel (see photo here).
my forest area was made to contrast all the rainbow craziness, so it's very natural with cedars, white flowers, weeds, and long trails running through to waterfalls and my campsite (see photo here).
my overall aesthetic is cute, so i'd like all my villagers to be as cute as possible!
gala was my 8th villager to move in and she was a lucky find on a mystery island. i think she's so cute with her big eyes and the little flower crown over her ear which i think is quite unique as i don't think there are very many other villagers with flowers/flower crowns. i love those things about her, and i also feel the fact that she's pink and her colorful flowers suits my town area really well. that said, gala's house interior is... weird and kind of ugly and i don't really like going inside rofl. my favorite photo i've taken of gala is here so you can see her in all her cuteness and flower crown glory.
poppy is a villager i've always liked but i didn't have room for her until i started considering replacing one of my normals with her. my other two are dreamies, which just leaves gala. poppy is SO CUTE and i love her little :> face and i absolutely love the smol adorableness of squirrel villagers, but she's not very unique in that she's just a squirrel vs. gala with her flower crown. however my other two normal dreamies are lolly and lily who are both quite "plain" villagers in themselves. poppy would match my forest really nicely and i don't have a whole lot of villagers so far that go well with that part of my island aside from erik.
