Poor Unloved "Ugly" Villagers!

Well. Yes. They tend to grow on you. I wasn't too thrilled to get Jambette at first but I warmed to her really quick because she was quite nice and she was always hanging around me. Then I had Wart Jr. whom I really couldn't care less at first but finally warmed up to.

I have never purposely hit an animal with a net and I don't have time to be mean to them. Besides, it's not by being mean that you will get them to move out. So no time for negativity. So yes. I even had Agent S in my town. I have always thought Big Top, Agent S and other superheroes to be stupid characters designs. I made the most out of it. Treated her nicely. Sent her a welcome letter. Talked to her, the whole shebang. When she asked to go, I rejoiced but in the meantime, I didn't obsess over it.

I love Tabby! I actually think she's adorable, in her own funny-freaky way.

On the flip side, I had Hippeux once, and, just, no. Could not get used to his looks.

Hopper was part of the original cast in my town, and he's still around. Even though his personality type is cranky (I don't believe it) he sends the sweetest letters to me, really. I wouldn't really call him an attractive villager but there are others that I find more...unsettling. Although, I really couldn't imagine beating him or other villagers nonetheless...

It may just be a game and these creatures have no feelings, but I can't abide someone abusing one of these guys. I made fun of Hippeaux when I was giving him away (and it helped generate sympathy and kept him from the void), but I treated him as respectfully as I did one of my favorites like Lolly. If someone is beating someone with a net for being "ugly," I'll be glad not to let them into my village or near my animals.

I was less than happy when I first saw Harry, but he's a good guy. If no one will take him when he asks to move, I will move him to my third town instead of voiding him.

It depends, for me. I had Cesar and I just couldn't stand him and was glad that he moved out very quickly. I feel bad when I hit villagers with the net, though, so I just ignored him.
Ren?e, though...I'm not a fan of Uchis, I dislike her house and I dislike her. However, I need her to give me PWPs, so I actually went with it and befriended her a bit and I'm...okay with her. I still eagerly await the day she decides to move out, but I do talk to her and write her daily letters.
Some other villagers I didn't like at first (Axel) grew on me because their design was, while pretty 'ugly', funny in its own way, which made them really loveable in a way. I still prefer Genji to Axel and Axel has now moved out and I didn't try to hold him back, but I do remember him rather fondly now.

At a certain point it loops beyond ugly back into adorable imo. I want Barold and Hippeux in my town!

Yes me too! I love. Barold and was so lucky to get him on my 1st day in this forum =D hope you get urs too~

I was upset and dislike Alice when she plotted in my town of 8 villagers, but i never treat her badly or bully cause I believe making friend with her might make her leave quicker. After some times, now I start getting fond on her and doesn't feel she is ugly anymore (although i still wan her out lol) and Astrid too! They re not bad just we think their appearance wasn't to our likes, not as cutr as. Marshal or Stitches. but bullying them or ignoring, why? Good or bad they still live in your town, like you as a mayor. Just be friend and soon or later each of them will request about leaving. Why make bad memories even worse?

She seems universally despised, but I would love to have Charlise. ;) I'm a bit tired of having Phoebe around.

Even though his personality type is cranky (I don't believe it) he sends the sweetest letters to me, really.

i noticed the same about my cranky villagers. hamphrey's, kabuki's and avery's letters are the only ones i keep at the post office because they make me smile like a maniac.

right now i'm trying to get out katt. i think she's hideous in design and personality alike. plus, she built her damn house right in front of the mayor office, cutting down a whole lot of bushes and hybrids. i missed out on so many great villagers in the camp site just because she took the 10th spot, ugh. go. away. *hits with toy hammer*

'xcuse me? Tabby is lovely xD One of my personal favorites.

Honestly as far as I'm aware there's only like 6 different personalities and multiple characters are given one of the few. So technically it doesn't make that big of a difference whether you have somebody like Tabby or Chrissy in your town.

I don't understand why people like Molly, she's a generic duck. She's got no personality in her looks which is probably the only real difference between her and other normal villagers. However that's my opinion. Chrissy and Francine creep me the hell out and villagers like Fauna don't just seem interesting to me.

I'm sad to say that the pontificating manner of your post is rude, judgmental, and makes ME sick. :( You are not the penultimate authority of how people should think, behave, or believe simply because you do.

Maybe you did not intend to sound so mean-spirited. I hope not. Anyway, I'll leave this thread for good so I don't say anything similar.

I just took it that he sounds a bit eccentric and enthusiastic, not to be taken so seriously.
Bit of an overreaction there tbh.

But I have no uglies in my town. To begin with I didn't like Shari, but she's really grown on me and maybe she'll never ever leave.
I didn't like Marshal much either but he's grown on me.

Velma is the worst but even she's not that bad I guess..

Well.. I've "thrown" everybody not on my dreamielist out of my new town. That included Katt (ugh), Rocco, Gwen and others. Some of them were traded, some were just sent to the void. I didn't really like them - but not because they were ugly. I don't really like the jock-personality, so Leonardo had to go. Rocco was cranky and didn't fit in, so he had to go too. Gwen's house was placed in the middle of my path - bye bye Gwen!
I've never bullied an unwanted villager, I've only ignored them. And it's not because of the fact that they are "ugly" that I dislike them, it's their looks plus their personality. Or if they have placed their house in a bad spot.. So I think, for me, that it's more about having the perfect image in my town?

I do, however, adore Coco. She's my cute little bunny, who lives right under my house <3 Her and Deirdre must be the villagers in my town who are the most unwanted. But I love them <3

No villager is truly ugly in my opinion, they are just different and some more appealing than others c:

I don't think any I've come across are ugly. I do have Hugh and I want him gone! Not because of what he looks like but he set up his house in an area that I didn't think was big enough for a house so I didn't check when I started a new day. Ugh.

Ozzie? Oh, he used to live in my town! We were close friends, and I often sent fruit to him in the mail. I thought he was very nice, but I didn't stop him from moving away. -.- I sort of regret my decision...

Your towns seem very awesome.

Everyone hates Hazel because of her unibrow. I fell in love with her as soon as she moved into my town. I just love her.

I can't get myself to like Tiffany, she moved into my town and she is not willing to leave :(

Hmmm, my idea of "ugly" villagers can sometimes be quite different from somebody else's opinion of what an "ugly" villager is. I actually tend to rule out entire species, such as Mice, Elephants and Gorillas. However, then there are species that I adore completely, such as Chickens, Birds, Ostriches and Penguins.

If a villager I can't stand enters my town, I usually just flat out ignore them until they pack their bags. At the minute, I'm ignoring Caroline and Chrissy, which some people would probably find crazy. Then there are others in my town that I love, such as Anchovy and Broffina; I think a lot of people would deem these as ugly, and ignore them until they leave.

It's all subjective! You hate one animal, and it's a favourite to me.
