Both griffins and dragons are typically shown as living in mountains so it could be either one. It could also be an eagle but personally that seems out of place with the other status. btw the draft is looking great! Can't wait to see it complete : )
 
I really thought the statue in the banner art was a Milotic. 😖 I knew it couldn’t be, but still. 😱
 
i think eagle can be crossed off the list unless the buzzy bees stung the hell out of its legs lol

tbh i don’t think it’s a gryphon either. gryphons are typically half lion half eagle and neither of those look like a paw, and imo the back leg is too muscular (look at those calves!!) to be a talon. also as you said gryphons are usually eagle in the front and lion in the back.

dragon makes the most sense out of those three imo, a talon-like foot but with some meat on the legs is pretty reptilian
 
tbh i'm now wondering if it's maybe a chimera? they're lion in the front and are at times depicted with dragon-like hind legs

though the other two seem like simple creatures so i'm on the fence about it lmao
