Pokemon?

I've never played a Pokemon game before, and I'm wondering what one would be a good one to start out with. Any suggestions?

You should start with the basics. Buy a copy of Red or Blue version, and work on up.

It depends. If you want to start with the originals, then G/S/C is best, because it has Kanto and Johto. Or get R/B/Y. If you want newer than wait for HG/SS, but don't get D/P/P. They're terrible compared to other games in the series.

Ok, here's the real deal, play all of the 'third' games to get the best of all worlds and get the gist of pokemon. First play yellow, then crystal, emerald, and platinum. Then choose any game you want to play from there on out.

Well Silver was my favorite of the old timey ones, but I also loved Platinum... So I'd say either hit Platinum up or wait for Heart Gold/Soul Silver.

silver. actually you might as well go with heartgold or soul silver...they're great overviews of all the pokemon games so far.
