Pokémon Pokemon you find impossible to catch

Catching Mewtwo in Heartgold with a pokeball while it's paralyzed. I ended up using great balls cause I ran out...
At least I caught it though! x)

Omg yes, Mewtwo was so freaking hard to catch in HG/SS, probably even more so than in XY :/

In DP I thought catching Tyrouge was impossible to catch, still havnt caught one because of how ugly they are.

It's not, it's just it only appears in certain places. And I personally like the guy. He can evolve into any three of Fighting types based on his stats at a certain level. :)

Yeah I agree, that's the only thing I like about him, I just think his design is ugly IMO .-.

I spent a ridiculous amount of time last night throwing balls at a Dugtrio in the Lumiose badlands. They're everywhere, but for some reason this guy was asleep at 1 HP and still took around 20 balls to catch... I ran out of Great balls and ended up using Pokeballs, Nest Balls, Dive Balls...whatever I had. It became a matter of principle, but in the end I got that sucker.

Wonder Traded him because his ability wasn't what I wanted.

Lol, that's an unfortunate happening of bad luck. And in the end he wasn't even the one you wanted, XD

Chatot for some reason. Paralyzed and 2 health and an ultra ball is still no go.

It always takes me more Pokeballs/ Great Balls, etc than it should to catch a Skarmory. Why are they so evil? It doesn't help that they are also uncommon compared to the Spinda invasion. lol

Also in Emerald, I wanted Rayquaza to help me beat the elite four so I wouldn't have to level grind so much. My party was 30 levels lower than it and it took me 14 battles to catch it. I remember that attempt 13 was totally unlucky. It outrage ko'ed all of my Pok?mon in 1 hit and it never hit itself once in confusion.

Definitely Metang. It's funny so many people are talking about how hard Kyurem is, because in both both my best friend and I have been to the Giant Chasm to get Kyurem, ran into a Metang on the way and used up about 60 Ultra Balls getting it, going to find Kyurem anyway (with only a handful of Pokeballs) and catching it without much trouble.

Skarmory, too. Steel-types, brr.

I think the worst luck I've had was with the lake guardians in Pearl. Even though I got one of them down to one percent, probably with some sort of status, I couldn't catch it. I ended up fleeing the battle, and I think it didn't come back for a while. :/

Also, for whatever reason, I was completely unable to catch a Relicanth as a kid.

The Emotion Trio were hard af to catch. I never even did in my initial run of Pokemon Diamond when I first started Pokemon. :/

I'm not going through the entire thread to see if this pokemon is listed, so I dunno if it's been mentioned or not.

But, I run nuzlockes often, and when I did runs of X/Y...if Chatot appears outside Shalour City (Route 12), forget it.

The thing has a capture rate of 30% (which is lower than Xerneas, btw), but it feels even lower. I'll get its HP down to the red, and use the best pokeballs I have at the time, and it'll still bust out. I lost out on a capture on that route on two separate nuzlockes because I ran out of pokeballs, great balls, premier balls...everything I had just trying to catch that gosh-darn Chatot.

Is Chatot even worth it??? XD....

Last night I couldn't catch a MURKROW WITH 60 POK?BALLS and then I proceeded to catch deoxys in 3 balls. /).-)
