Pokemon Tournament (Pokken Fighters)

Nintendo has just announced a crossover game between Tekken and Pokemon with some of the developers from Soul Caliber producing the game too. Honestly, I think the game looks amazing. It is a shame that it is only going to arcades, but a console release may come later.
What are your thoughts?

Looks pretty great. The commentator in the video you linked is kinda annoying though, here's the official video.

I doubt they'd release promotional material for this in the west if there weren't any plans on localizing it. In addition to that, they pretty much said it themselves:
"In answering questions, it was implied that there may be non-arcade release later since it is said to come first in arcades." (from Serebii)
At this point it might just be a matter of how successful it is in arcades or how much demand they're seeing for a home console release.

If it works out good, they could (perhaps) do a WiiU version. Namco has a history of doing arcade first then console release.

Most companies have a history of releasing the game first as an arcade game then later on as a home release.

EX: Persona 4 Arena, Persona 4 Ultimax, Blazblue, Tekken

Looks interesting. I doubt we'll see on American consoles until sometime in late 2016 or 2017, considering it's coming to Japanese arcades next year.
