If you take the time to look, there's a lot of hidden stuff in Pokemon names.
Empoleon- The "Emp" being like emperor, and the "poleon" being like Napoleon.
Umbreon- Sounds like "Oberon": a moon of saturn (I believe) Umbreon has moves like Moon beam, and is dark type.
Espeon- Begins with "ESP" or extra sensory perception.
Palkia- Begins with P like Pearl.
Dialga- Begins with D like Diamond.

Which hidden name meanings have you noticed?

Turtwig has Turt for turtle, and twig for, well, twig. He is a tiny leaf pokemon.

Also, Marowak sounds a lot like a certain drug...
