So Nintendo Music has been active for over a year by now, and they added most of the soundtracks coming from a Nintendo Switch game. However, there are still a few Switch games that are missing on Nintendo Music. And Pokémon Let’s Go Pikachu/Let’s Go Eevee is one of them.

Will Nintendo ever add that game to Nintendo Music? If not, then why are they not going to add it? In my honest opinion, there are no other games on the Nintendo Switch that have good soundtracks. Pokémon Let’s Go is the only Switch game to have good soundtracks (unless if you count Super Mario 3D All-Stars).

My guess would probably be no, and here's why.

Nintendo Music is kind of like a curated soundtrack service. No game's music is on there automatically. Nintendo picks and chooses what gets added.

And even though Nintendo puts out Pokémon games, The Pokémon Company still owns the music rights. Because of that, the way Pokémon music is handled—like with streaming or selling—is different than other Nintendo games.

So yeah, that's my gist of it.

They did let Nintendo add Sword/Shield, Scarlet/Violet, and Legends Arceus to Nintendo Music. If Nintendo can add those games to Nintendo music, then what’s the holdup for Let’s Go Pikachu/Let’s Go Eevee?

As I said, they are handled differently, with some games being "Yeah Nintendo, you can put THAT one in" with other games being "Lets hold off on that one for now."

I don't know the exact reason, but I do know that it has something to do with The Pokemon Company.

Actually I looked up the Pokémon games that we have. Pokémon games are owned shared by 3 companies. So @-Apples-, your question is valid but im not sure any of us know the answer to it

Nintendo probs just doesn't wanna have to go through all the legal trouble to put in a few soundtracks from a Pokemon Yellow remake. /j

With the addition of Paper Mario: The Origami King, it looks like Pokémon Let’s Go is the only major exclusive Nintendo Switch title from 2017-2020 to not have tracks added to Nintendo music. It makes no sense to not have it on there. Is there a reason why The Pokémon Company hasn’t decided to let Nintendo put Let’s Go on Nintendo Music?

I will say though that there are other problems with Nintendo’s slow distribution of soundtracks on Nintendo Music. One game’s worth of soundtracks per week is not enough. They should do at least two a week. And there are some weeks that don’t get soundtracks. Regarding Pokémon, Pokémon Let’s Go and Pokémon BDSP aren’t the only Pokémon games missing from Nintendo Music. They’re also missing every Pokémon soundtrack from 1st to 7th generations. Yet other games at those years were being added.

My guess is that Nintendo will add music from either RBY or FRLG since they sold better and are far more popular games than the Let’s Go games and are still pretty much the same track list only without real instruments. I actually prefer the FRLG version of Mt Moon over the other versions of it other than HGSS.
