I have been plot resetting for Eugene for the last half hour. He has decided to plop his house right beside mine, directly in front of the cobblestone bridge FIFTEEN TIMES.

Yes, villagers like to place their houses near previously existing buildings. It's frustrating, but can be resolved with some time and effort. >.<

you can back to the day you picked him up and place a PWP around there to send him to plop his plot elsewhere.

I'm not really versed on time traveling, plus I'm afraid I'll do it wrong and the game will just place his house in the same spot every time and I'll be stuck with it in a bad spot. :(

20 times, next to my house...

It took me 6 strait hours for Chief so it takes time, hang in there :)

SIX HOURS?!?

ugh. Maybe I should just bite the bullet and let the game spawn it wherever it wants. :(

I plot reset Cube for two hours to finally get him in a good spot, then braced myself to do it again with Pekoe... but I only had to reset her one time. Her house was perfect the second time, in an even better spot than Cube's. Go figure.

My longest time plot resetting was maybe 5/6 hours. But like, all of my villagers are horrible at picking spots to live >:C

muffy took 3 ****ing hours to pick a decent spot. she kept plopping her plot on my road. the rest were p easy and quick, and I was especially suprised how fast wolfgang picked the right spot bc hes the only villager that ive ever wanted to move into a certain spot.

I welcomed Lolly into Applewin. (Dream Address will soon be updated to reflect that.)

I did plot resetting five or six times for locating Lolly. First time was near-perfect. But I had my idea where I wanted her. Attempts 2, 3, and 4 were all in an awful spot that disturbed Perfect Orange trees and was too close to my Mayor Jill's house. (She is near the Town Hall and there are no villagers' or secondary humans' houses near her. It's a way of marking territory.)

My fifth or sixth attempt did it for me. I have Lolly in the spot where Clyde used to be; and she's most closely neighboring Kidd. (Twiggy is also fairly close.)

Funny thing—I realize that seven of the villagers' houses are on the south side of the town. Had "Animal Crossing: New Leaf" included a feature for a town's Mayor to exert control over zoning, then all ten villagers' houses would have been on the south/southeast side. (The beach is in that direction: south, southeast, and east.)

Ugh, Phoebe was a pain. She'd regularly plot her house close to the train tracks and was hardly near the spot I wanted her. I messed up though when I accidentally logged into my mayor so now her house is in front of the cafe.

I spent two hours on her while Flora, Ken, Pierce and Blanche took at least 30 minutes.

It took me 1 and a half days (over the course of 2) to get Fang in the right position.
And now I don't even think 6 hours is bad. If Fang ever leaves my town, I swear I'll rage quit lol.

Keep trying! I'm sure you'll get him in a good position!

Most times I've had to plot reset was 11 and that was for Marina! She kept putting her house in front of Brewsters!

Oh man, that's tough. I guess my plot resetting methods are not that sophisticated. I put pwp's on locations I absolutely will not want a villager to go, like on narrow bits of land where walking around is tough, etc. But other then that, I just let them go wherever they want. I have to admire the patience! Good luck. I hope he gets away from your bridge at least.

Wait, is that 50 times that his plot appears next to your house?

No, but he's been right next to my house, in front of the bridge, at least 75% of the times I've resetted. He's only even been remotely close to the ideal place I want him ONCE.

Aaaaaand now my batteries are dead. I'll resume my torture in about 30 minutes or so. :(

Lolly insisted on putting her house on the other side of my map where no homes were and I hadn't put up any PWP so it was very hard to force her to a single spot. What I ended up doing was building two player houses there to deter her from living on that side. It took about six hours but I finally got her into the spot I had hoped she would go.

After almost 4 game hours of plot resetting, I FINALLY got him to move into a halfway decent spot! His plot destroyed a couple of perfect fruit trees, but at this point, I don't care! They were on their final harvests anyway...

What ticks me off is the frequency that the game plopped his house next to mine (sometimes right in front of the nearby bridge). After 104 resets, I must have gotten the plot in that general area a good 70 or 80 times!!!

You can get a particular villager to move into a certain spot with resetting!? I knew you could prevent unwanted random move-ins with the reset trick but I didn't know you could control where one particular villager moves in! Is this related to adopting them from other towns or something? Divulge your secrets to me, TBT! ;)

I build scarecrows in those places where they constantly want to build their house. It saves a lot of resetting time.
