So I've been trying to plot reset Walt in between two houses for the past day, and I'm fairly positive there's enough space between them (I know that villager houses need two spaces in between them, which I have on both sides), but I'm wondering if for whatever reason it might be impossible for houses to move inbetween two things?

I've also built two fountains 3 spaces above and 3 spaces under (excluding the entrance) which should still leave enough room but I haven't seen a plot inside there once so I'm getting really worried that it might be impossible D: can someone who's an avid plot resetter reassure me that I'm just unlucky or tell me if there's any problem that would make it impossible for Walt to move into this area? thanks!

A picture would help if you can upload one. I don't think the houses would be a problem but the fountains might.

Oh i re-read and yeah I think you SHOULD be ok but a pic would still help in case~ Plot resetting is sensitive and sometimes animals don't like to choose the plots you want them to x.x

Sure! gimme a sec to upload. thanks for the fast response btw!

pretty much the 3x3 marked by the beetle (the entrance is sticking out as well!)

Yea I had the same issue,
had 3 houses lined up: Marshal, Molly, and Pashmina (in that order)
Molly moved out and I replaced her with Merry, but after days of plot resetting I gave up because she would never plot in there.

ack!! I'm worried that just like how the middle tree dies if you plant them in 3x3s, it's also impossible for villagers to move in in between... that would ruin everything for me T__T

That should be fine o-o but luck plays a part too. I think the animals maybe choose a few random locations and stick to them, while rarely going outside of the same 3 or 4.

It could be possible, I just wasn't patient enough, and was already upset that molly moved away

It's not impossible for them to move in between. Lolly moved between me and Shari. It's just a luck thing ><

that's reassuring to hear! Thanks for your responses! I'm going to keep trying xD cuz it's pretty crucial that he moves into this spot.. guess i'm going to have to spend another long time plot resetting :/

I have 3 house plots lined up in my town. It's possible, but it may take a while. Good luck :)

The RNG God's reign is cruel and its influence foul. :(

Hmm, since the buffer spaces don't intrude on each other Walt should be able to move in between. :o Also villagers moving in between should be possible, speaking from experience, as when Rudy moved into my town he was able to squeeze in between my alt's house and between Agnes' when she lived here so I definitely think it should be possible! :blush:

He should be able to move in, but I think it will take a while, since villagers rarely move into places where there isn't that much space.

If you can, maybe TT back to the day before you started plot resetting (if you're not sure, do it with the system clock, and make a new villagers just to make sure) and put a fence in an area you don't want him to move in, possibly somewhere where he keeps moving in. You don't have to finish the PWP, but since it covers a big area, it might help a bit in getting him to move into the right place.

thanks for the advice! I already used up all my PWPs unfortunately, so I guess I'll just have to rely on luck D;
