Today I made a new save file as I was sure I would get a new villager moving in and I was right, there was a new plot beside my retail. I didn't like the spot so I quit and started to plot reset. I have quit the game and made a new character 6 times now and haven't found the plot since the 1st time at retail. Can anyone help me? The plot has just disappeared from my town

Plot resetting help - plot disappeared

What I would do is set the clock in system setting 1 or 2 days ahead and plot reset again (obviously not starting with existing character in between). I had an inconvenience like that before myself, with Flurry I believe and that's what helped in my case.
Gah! I don't like time travelling so I just gave up and thought I would try again tomorrow as it wasn't showing. I log into my mayor and the plot is here. It's not in a bad spot, but not where I would of wanted. Thanks anyway!
Was it a random move-in and did you have less than 9 villagers? If so, there's only a chance that a villager will plot, which is the reason the plot didn't show up every time. Let's say you had 8 villagers, and this was your 9th (though this applies to any number below that). You probably expected a new villager because it had been two days since the previous villager put down their house, right? There's only a small chance that a new villager will move in, and this chance increases during the week, with a 100% chance on the 7th day. Therefore, it's possible that you saw a plot the first time, but not the six times after that, and that one showed up again when you loaded the game with your mayor.
Hope you can work with the spot they chose, and that it's a villager you like!
