Update: Just caught a level 3 Drowzee and named it Luna, after the Dream Suite owner.

Also, both Turtle and Shady are both Level 7 now.

Electric type

Gentle nature: Has good endurance.

Item held: Oran Berry

Return/Cotton Spore/Thunder Wave/Thunder Shock

Ability: Static (Contact with the Pokemon may cause paralysis)

Welp, time to wait 3 days until we start part 2

In case you were wondering I was able to beat Cheren by slowing down his Pokemon with Thunder Wave and Cotton Guard multiple times, and then finish each of his Pokemon with a couple Thunder Shocks.

Hmm, maybe catch an Azurill and when part 2 starts you can train it into an Azumarill? I suggest this because your whole team is weak to Fire types, and a Water type like Azumarill would be a great counter.

I'm not really certain. This period between the beginning and Cheren is a bit shorter, but it might take a lot longer with some other gym leaders- especially if you need to grind a lot for them.

Yeah, I feel some sections between other gym leaders will be much longer. If we have this first short section at 3 days anyway, more people will be more likely to join because they will have less catching up to do.

Okay, so that was the most unspectacular fight with Cheren I've ever had. Didn't use anything but Work Up- and let me tell you, I switched so Duster could get EXP! And yet I didn't take any damage! What even, Cheren?

So, as you probably figured, I just defeated Cheren. I decided to update Duster's moveset before I came back in two days; otherwise I would have never remembered to do so. Otherwise- I'll be ready when everyone else is!


Sona- Male- Level 15
Tackle/String Shot/Bug Bite/Razor Leaf


Duster- Male- Level 10
Return/Water Gun/Work Up/Charm

I'm in the ranch, woohoo! I just caught myself a Riolu but it is timid (and has steadfast). Should I try to catch another one that doesn't have a minus attack nature?
I also caught a Mareep that I'm planning to use up until I can get myself a Tynamo so I can have an electric type for now.

As Klave said it would be less "togheter" if everyone played through it at diffrent speeds. But I guess if you want to speed thorugh it, go ahead

I'm inclined to say keep looking. I've noticed that a detrimental nature affects Riolu pretty badly.

Hey, if I may ask- would it be too much of an issue if I decided to grind without progressing to the next area? I want to get Duster up to level 15, but I'm going to be getting a Magnemite before the next gym, and I'll have to grind it up to a decent level too. I don't want either to fall behind in those three days.
