it's a little strange at first but it's making me happy inside

does anyone else put on different music while you play?

I don't, I really like the game's music Plus I really like the small details they've included when it comes to sound design. Maybe that's weird but I don't care

I just put on YouTube while I play. My mix is VERY random but sometimes I put on Zelda music or Celtic folk songs.

I actually like the music in the game. And I think it’s pretty cool that it changes hourly.
So I don’t play other music while playing the game. However sometimes I will watch YouTube videos or tv while playing.

If I'm doing something static or repetitive I'll listen to a YouTube video or podcast instead of the game music, just because I need to keep actively engaged with something or I'll get anxious haha.

Classical music (Mozart, Bachq, Beethoven, etc...), Operas, and sometimes Let's Plays from Chuggaaconroy, TheRunawayGuys, or shows like Family Guy, American Dad, Bob's Burgers, The Simpsons, Star Trek, Sword Art Online, BLEACH, No Game No Life, Overlord, InuYasha, etc...

Recently I've been listening to old Star Wars theory videos while terraforming. It is quite relaxing! Especially since I'm completely re-doing my island again.

I agree one the dislike of this game's music. it isn't bad or anything, it just doesn't have the same feel as the old animal crossing (I'm talkin gamecube/new leaf). But I may just be a cantankerous old lady here.

I really do love the game otherwise and sometimes other music adds a new layer to it

Recently I've been listening to old Star Wars theory videos while terraforming. It is quite relaxing! Especially since I'm completely re-doing my island again.

I've redone my island so many times at this point lol. I'm making a farm/woodsy area while transforming another area into an entertainment district.

After I got sick of the in-game music, I replaced the soundtrack with Limp Pumpo mixes . It's sure not for everyone, but it doesn't get much better for me.
(I still go back to the original music when it's raining. Now that's a great ambience)

i've played acnh while watching funny videos of acnh on youtube before
but oftentimes i play acnh while listening to acnl soundtrack lol. i miss nl's music.

The in-game music is a blast, but I have a playlist of all my favorite songs (Usually EDM or VGM not from AC) and usually listen to that while playing.

That, or a youtube video in the background. Those are great, too.
