Playing Animal crossing on Another SD card?

Soooo I have Another Animal crossing saved on a different SD card.
But It doesn't have all the Data on it like the current SD I'm using(It's a brand new town), I'm worried if I played the new one...I'll probably **** something up on my Main town on my current SD Card and lose everything, Will the 2nd SD card effect the one I'm currently using?

If I remember correctly(as I've done this before), using another SD card doesn't really affect the game. I believe it only affects Streetpass and Spotpass in ways like you having to turn them on again.
