Playground or no playground?

I opted for no playground, because it doesn't match my aesthetic. I do agree that a lot of the furniture items that we've been given so far would work in a playground, but I choose to just ignore those items.

I made a small one behind the Nook's Cranny. Since I was going for a more neighborhood-ish themed island, I thought a playground would fit to this theme. Besides, Carrie's kid needs a place to play. :P

I have a small playground right next to my house. Sometimes villagers hang out there, I think it's adorable. Good thing I don't have any theme/aesthetic on my island, so I can put pretty much anything I want outside X)

I have one for now, but eventually I'll be redesigning my whole island and I'll get rid of it.

It's mostly for Bones (and kind of Bianca). It's right below their houses and they do zoomies and sit on the items. It's pretty cute.

I had one at first because I had the space, but I got rid of it a little while ago since there aren't any children on the island 😅
I thought this too but then remembered they all run around with their arms out like children.

I’d say three of the eight personality types can be very childlike— Big Sister, Jocks, and Lazies— so in my mind it’s for them. Though I guess they’re emancipated if so!

i have a small one in my fair area. I bought the sandbox but it is alot bigger than I thought it would be and having a hard time finding a place it can go and still look ok. I would just sell it on here to someone, but I think that might be a little difficult since there isn't color variations of it and everyone can just get it off the machine. I am not sure where I will put it, but wherever i put it, it will be in the mountains.
the main reason why I put a playground area was because I just happened to have the stuff that matched my fair stuff and I thought why not.
then I saw some of the other color variations after realizing you can sit on the jungle gym and decided to get a second jungle gym and put it in my star gazing area since you can sit on it.

I don't have one as the aesthetics of it doesn't appeal to me and it wouldn't chime with the theme of my island. I like to think of my villagers being 20+ years anyway.

I haven't been interested in the playground set because it seems like the villagers can't interact with most of the objects?

I have one that is multicolored. It’s pretty much just a decoration in a small park.

I’m extra and I enjoy the colourful aesthetic so I have multiple playgrounds. One is with the red and blue elephant slides and the colourful playground gym etc so it’s all primary/rainbow colors. One playground is primarily pink with the pink springy rides, pink elephant slide, pink electric kick scooters, pink toy box, pink customized ringtoss game, etc. This game has so many awesome colourful things to make themed areas!

i don’t have a playground - i have a funfair/carnival and garden picnic area but that’s about as close as it gets lol

I might put one in the space between the oark and the museum, depending on what else I need to fit in there.

i'm definitely putting in a playground, i think i'll combine it with a basketball/soccer area since i think those items are so cute

I have one next to the beach. I surrounded it with the iron fence and terraformed sand. I have the playground gym, a pink and a brown springy ride on, a turquoise tire toy, the sandbox, an elephant slide, and a wooden-block stool. On the beach just outside I have a tricycle, the PC model RVs, and a rocking horse with the "pop" custom option. It's also next to one of my ponds, which has a park clock and a swinging bench, so it feels very park-like. I like how it came out a lot, but I can see getting bored and making it into a different type of area at some point in the future.

Also aren't our characters children? 😜

I did have a p[playground, and it was cute. I eventually tore it down because I found other things I would much rather use in the space.

It was one of the first things I made on my island as soon as I unlocked making paths. With the playground gym, drinks and snacks machine, sand box, springy horse, and some wheel seats in different colours. I've also thrown in a game machine too for good measure, lol.

i did make it a playground because there were so many "playground-like" items in the game it seemed they were basically nudging you towards it lol. i put paired mine together with a soccer field!
