Confused as to why hockey romance is so popular. I’m not just talking about that one series— I found out there are several others. I never liked hockey and hated how the players punched each other. So naturally I don’t get the appeal.
You mean there's more than just that one?? Is this like a whole genre that people love for some reason? Man, I don't understand people

I guess it's just a newer version of the dreamy American Football player trope. Sport romance or anything that involved it was never my cup of tea.

Not sure if it's iced coffee specifically, but I heard that people with certain types of ADHD process caffeine differently, so it makes them sleepy instead of alert
(Obviously I wouldn't know if you have ADHD, but just saying there is precedent for coffee making ppl sleepy!)
This is how caffeine effects me. I've been known to wake-up in the night, drink a Red Bull, and go back to sleep. 😅

I need to get my sleep schedule under control. Fell asleep in the afternoon and woke-up at 9pm, now it is almost midnight and I'm making pizza from scratch because I realised I didn't eat lunch or dinner. 🍕

Yeah. I listen to Book Youtube/TikTok drama and learned about some author who allegedly based a character on an actual sports reporter who is--- surprise, surprise --a hockey reporter. There are also some other book series I heard about. It's a trendy new subgenre of romance, I guess.

There was also a series where the love interest's appearance was based on an actual hockey player. The team that "leaned into" it as some BookTok girls were showing up and thirsting after the player. Then they condoned it after one harassed him online.

Maybe there's some normal people in the fandom, but after what I've heard, I'm not so sure.

Fun fact: In high school, I had an English teacher who was also a romance author and wrote books about racecar drivers. I don't like car racing either, but I guess some people are into that.

In terms of how advanced technology should be, the 2010s (or even the late 2000s) were as good as it should go. I felt that purchasing individual movies digitally is better than paid streaming subscriptions, that Windows 7 was Windows at its best, iPhones were better or at least efficient before iOS 7 came out, and that retail shopping is better than online shopping. And don’t even get me started on the advancement of AI.

I also don’t want to live in a world where everything is automated.

I wonder if anyone would actually buy these?

Where did you find these?! I am not excited about the flavor (okay maybe incredibly curious!) But I'm excited to buy a bag or two and share them with my coworkers! Like or not, this will start a massive and fun conversation with them for hours! They love to argue about the weirdest things!
