I'm not surprised at all that the Smurfs 2025 movie is horrible. It looked bad and was total cringe from the get-go, plus another Smurf movie just seemed really unnecessary and out of nowhere.

Also TMNT 2012 had Donatello have a crush on April. It was not necessary and made him to be such a stalker and creep. It was so toxic and towards the end April pretty much tells him that she likes that about him. So that's a good lesson to teach kids, especially boys. Hey be a creepy stalker and she'll like you!

And funny enough Raphael actually finds a love interest later in the show who is a anthropomorphic lizard warrior and their interactions are way more wholesome because they respect and treat each other kindly. Instead of you know, showing that being a creep is how to win someone's heartPlus, a turtle crushing on a human….
But the entire cast always acts grossed out because eeeeeew lizard woman!
