Out of genuine curiosity, what has been going on with the "What's Bothering You?" thread lately? Normally every post in that thread gets numerous reactions from other people but lately I've noticed that everyone's posts in the thread are getting little to no reactions. I am not trying to insist that people are obligated to react to posts in that thread, nobody on the forums is "obligated" or "pressured" to react to anyone's posts and I don't really think it's that deep if a post gets no reactions but I'm only curious about why this has been happening, it's a bit unusual to me is all.

Personally, I never took issue with the hug react in there, but I worry about only reacting towards certain posts.

It can feel like telling somebody 'your issue wasn't worth my acknowledgement'. If I react to a post but don't react to one directly above me.

It almost puts a scale of importance on people's issues which shouldn't exist.

I never thought about how those bright colours and friendly atmosphere could potentially make unhealthy fast food more appealing to kids. though I wonder if there have been studies conducted on if/how the changing atmosphere of these restaurants has changed the number of customers, or what they buy.
Funny you mention that, because my mom said she saw a commercial for Minecraft Happy Meal toys. (During the Today Show) I thought that was kinda weird. I don’t eat McDonald’s, but I thought we were over the toys??

oh yeah they still do happy meals and toys. it might just be bc I'm an adult now, but I don't see as much hype around them as much I used to.

I stopped going there a few months ago myself; the more I've started cooking for myself at home, the more I realize how gross their food is, especially compared to the price. I even used the app to get free food and I still decided to stop going lol. now I usually go to Wendy's if I want fast food.

I wonder if I’m putting too much detail in my drawing and if it will even show once I resize it. 🤔

Currently reading Yellowface. I'm not that far in, but I just gotta say wow that narrator is so incredibly unlikable.

it'd be nice if the Switch 2 would stand out as a fun and charismatic game console, like old Nintendo.
You have so many great thoughts and input on previous systems! I wish I could relate on systems like the 3DS but I never had one because of life issues. The Switch was my reentry into Nintendo going back to the GBA SP.

You are focusing on the system itself, which makes perfect sense! I have never done that, but that's probably because my very young years were spent playing the Atari 2600. The NES was ground breaking and magical as a kid. Then came the SNES.

To me that is "old Nintendo" (I hate to be that person that says "back in my day... " but... here I am being old) 😆

You made me realize that customization of the console itself is important to people, while I am from the generation where all you get is putting the cartridge in the console and play it. So I guess I am old and love the games themselves, rather than the console itself.

For your sake, I hope the Switch 2 has some Nintendo-like innovations... the mouse option is a new one, so let's see how that works out!

The worst way to start a morning is waking up to discover your milk has gone off. 🤢

Had to venture to the shop before I could even have my morning cup of tea.

I've considered this myself because I do that sometimes, I'll react to some posts but not others. I don't want people to think that their problems don't matter. that combined with the fact that some people don't like the Hug react (as well as the fact that putting a Like/Love on certain posts is... distasteful) means that I've kinda stopped using reactions myself, and would mean that less people are reacting to posts in general.

yeah, I think it's because Nintendo had basically set a precedent for me with the Wii, 3DS, and Wii U. so when they seemingly took a step back with the Switch in terms of customization and especially presentation, it was jarring to me.

I wish I could've grown up during the 80s-90s, when video game development was at its peak. I'm sure that making the leap from the SNES to the N64 was crazy for a lot of people! at the very least I do own basically every Nintendo console (except for the Virtual Boy lol, and the Gameboy Color) as well as the Atari 2600! in fact, I grew up playing games like Maze Craze, Super Mario Bros 3, NES Golf, Balloon Kid, SimCity, Super Mario World, and of course the N64 games hehe. 🥰

I think there's just something about the Switch that feels... off to me, compared to those older consoles. maybe it's because it was released when I was almost 18, so I didn't have time to "grow up" with the Switch. even the games feel a little off to me. I don't get the same vibe playing Odyssey as I do playing Super Mario Galaxy. I don't get the same vibe playing New Horizons as I do New Leaf or the older games (tbh New Horizons has a lot of issues that make gameplay kind of unbearable to me, once the novelty wore off I pretty much ditched it). I don't get the same vibe from MK8D as I do any Mario Kart game that came before it (I actually have owned MK8 on the Wii U since 2014, I wasn't even really a fan of it there). there's a fun factor that the older games had which I feel is lacking from the newer games.

then again, maybe I'm getting old myself, I'm pretty much becoming one of those "back in my day" people! 😆

I've been enjoying more post apocaypse shows and ideas of abandoned places for stories a lot more than usual. Like, I enjoy it just by the feeling of being able to slow down in that setting, and how much I want that.
Not having to worry over money, job, political issues; just being able to go about your day, and explore if so so desire, or just enjoy the sun on your skin. The sound of birds.
Explore the places people busied themselves and looking back at a past that no longer works in your favor.

And recently, due to this, I've also felt less stressed over time, and just enjoyed myself a bit better. Like not entirely living like it was post apocalypse but enjoying the times by myself, truly rest.

I'm glad the weekend is coming soon, this gives me desire to write stories like this.

If I was in a post apocalpyse world, I'd be cleaning everything, making everything a lil suitable for people to come and go; leave things for poeple who may need it when the times comes. But still give the chance for nature and humans to live side by side properly.

I have a question. What if you got permanently banned from one Discord server for rule violations, then you retaliate against the server administrators by permanently banning them from your server when they didn’t do anything wrong? Can they report that to the Discord team that someone issued a retaliatory ban?

Im glad my anxiety has been calming down. It's still a little bit of a struggle though. I don't like a ton of change or being in a limbo period of large unknown change without organization. But that is being wrapped up now, so that's good. It isn't like a fear thing, it just puts me on edge and triggers the flight or fight system, because I feel like I have to be ready for anything. And if it lasts long it becomes an anxiety thing. I guess it's a survival thing. Kind of like my craving to put things in bags if I am on edge. It probably also has something to do with my great dislike of clutter, harder to manage or keep track of.. and it's unnecessary.
Maybe one reason why nomadic life was a common choice in human history? That could be an anxiety response and not just a food security response or ambush avoidance response. Maybe it's just a web.

Keagan sleeps next to my bed. Yes, my bed is a couch by personal choice, but that isn’t the point here, lol.

I found out Sam Star (Drag Race finalist) is from the same town in Alabama where the guy went skinnydipping in an aquarium at Bass Pro Shop. We definitely have a better representation of the town now!

My real name not being a common one is a blessing and a curse. It wasn't popular when I was born, the first record of it being used was around in the 70s and it lasted until the 90s (I'm late 80s so that makes sense) apparently from where I saw it on.

I mainly go on these sites to find names for my characters, they're teens in the 20XX so it would make sense to use a name that was being used around the 2000s and (maybe) early 2010s.

Ugh why is Good Friday during spring break this year? Such a waste of a day off. (Half joking btw, obviously the day is more important than just a day off school but still, that sucks)

There is so much negativity in the world. Its pretty sad and messed up. Not even when you try to look on the positive side it still doesn't feel right. You try to smile during these hard times and it feels wrong. You try to be netural on both sides but you still get attacked.
