I’m the only member I can see as online rn and I’ve never noticed the forum being this quiet when I’m on, it’s weird, I hate my timezone tho.

I hate that the words entomology and etymology sound really similar and are difficult to pronounce as separate words, because they are definitely not related at all 😅
 
The fact that Cartoon Network was going downhill is an old issue now. Like 15 to 20 years ago. Yet it was one of my very first controversies I saw online (even before I saw political discussions).

Actually, my very first controversy I read on the internet was Cartoon Network’s rescheduling a Chowder episode that was initially supposed to premiere on January 25th, 2008, but got postponed because of the Writers’ Strike.
 
A lot of people say Selena Gomez looks like Linda Ronstadt (I think she's even cast in a biopic). Like Selena, Linda also played a character named Mabel, in the film adaptation of Pirates of Penzance. (Selena's character was in Only Murders in the Building.) OMITB also mentioned Gilbert and Sullivan (season 3ish?) so I wonder if they did that on purpose. Could be a stretch, though.
 
I don’t get it, everyone at my lunch table is talking about cartoons and they’re saying Johnny Test is fire. Like wtf are they talking about? I thought everyone collectively agreed that the show is ass, but they’re saying that this is apparently a certified hood classic or whatever. I don’t get it. Since when was this considered peak lol.

That periods writer strike hurt a lot of shows. I remember one show I enjoyed watching never fully recovered and got cancelled during a season finale cliff hanger. I hated that.
 
Writing my story though my phone. It just feels so wrong... Very wrong.
All because my computer doesn't want to work and I can't afford a new one right now. 😔

I've been able to set up DNS and stuff before with work and school internet so i'm not a total stranger to it! i needed it for work because we had to access our private databases, and back in school they had to limit our internet access & blacklist certain websites. They gave us step-by-step guides before so i wasn't totally lost then lol. now i've forgotten how to do it and ive got no clear guide this time so i'll keep searching when i can. but thank you for your concern!

ahh thank you so much for the concern! i've kinda put it away for now since i had other things to do & it wasnt a priority (apparently the thing that was crashing was just the driver of my keyboard backlights). :] i'll probably try and figure it out again when i have the time and/or more things start crashing LMAO hopefully not though. but thank you again for offering to help, and i'll definitely message you when i start facing this issue again! c:

I remember this one time a few months ago these two guys at school were arguing over which of these two girls was uglier. Then one of them was about to ask me and then the other one said not to because… well, the reason he gave is that I apparently like boys. Then he asked anyway, and I said I don’t know because I didn’t really feel comfy answering something like that, and then the other guy said “I told you he likes boys”… what. I don’t get how that makes me gay but sure. I’m not sure if he said that to be funny or because he actually thinks I am but… I’m not. gay.

No, I think they were being 100% genuine. Like, they actually like the show and think it was one of the best shows on the channel. And everyone was acting like I was crazy when I said it’s generally agreed upon to not be very good (well, I didn’t word it exactly like that obviously, but still).

Often, I have a bad case of procrastination. Which is funny, because I was able to do a lot in the past without worrying.

I can't sleep tonight, so I'm in the middle of reading this South Park doujinshi that I came across online.

It's weird...because I never read a SP doujinshi before. But it's cute.
 
Oh my god, I did it! I finally removed my mobile apps off my phone, freedom!

I couldn't decide whether I wanted to remove the apps or not, I had Gacha Life, Gacha Club, a SpongeBob SquarePants app, and a couple of Miku Hatsune apps on there.

To be honest, the fact that The Simpsons: Tapped Out and the original Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp shut down and I'm too broke to get Complete are what I decided had killed mobile gaming for me.

I know you're asking someone else, but I do like to write. Sometimes with subjects I write about, I look up sources to do a bit of research. That way in the final revision it reads as authentically as it can. And then I get sucked into an endless void of research about things that won't even apply to what I'm writing about, but I'm too curious to stop learning lol.

I recognized it pretty quickly, I want to say around a week ago (?). I was looking at a particular thread and saw that the name was different, and I was like wait, that's Cylie! XD

Great change though, I love the new username! 🥳
 
Even in hotels I feel an overwhelming urge to turn the lights off when I leave the room.

Probably a result of growing up below the poverty line. Leaving lights on meant raising the bill and that was a huge 'no'. It's etched in my brain to turn lights off.
