Maybe I'm mean, but most YouTubers have annoying voices.
The ones that review movies or talk about Lego have voices that aren’t annoying. There are also two YouTubers who have degrees in history that talk about the American Girl dolls and their collections and just how historically accurate they are which are very fascinating to listen to. The one is a historical cosplayer who sews her own dresses based on sewing patterns from various periods in history and the other talks more in depth about what life was like during the historical years discussed in the books and actually cooks recipes and makes crafts from the additional books to show what it was like to do them and how the food they ate tastes. These two have really taken the time to do their research and thoroughly explain how historically accurate each dolls’ clothes and stories are and why they aren’t accurate or correct if necessary. They even go into details about what women and girls would be wearing during their time.

There is a specific tone or cadence I try to avoid. I can't explain it, but it makes them sound more manipulative or like a narcissist.
The ones I mean are ones who sound like they’re yelling, have the vocal fry, or sound like they hate their lives and are being forced to make videos. And then some people sound like people I used to know so it’s awkward and I leave.

I listen to YouTube videos a lot (history, wrestling, Internet mysteries) and the ones I like have voices that just sound…normal. Like they’re not putting on or anything. Idk if that makes any sense.

Two YouTubers I like that review movies typically discuss the plot with a normal tone but will shout if the movie frustrates them or makes them angry and a few of the movies they cover I can see why they reacted that way. Diva from Musical He[ck] loses her calm demeanor when the characters are acting extremely stupid or the plot does something really wrong and it feel offensive to the brain. Bob she aux is pretty much the same and he calls out the characters for being really really stupid. He particularly hates Marnie from the Halloweentown movies mostly because of her annoying need to feel “special” and how she keeps doing extremely stupid things that causes problems for everyone else but never gets punished for it. The Swan Princess movies are another series of films that will get him angry because of how things keep happening in them that have either no explanation or just don’t make any sense at all.

I don’t like how the One Piece anime sometimes mixes canon content with too much filler like episode 920. Or when they make most of an episode a recap or flashback mixed with canon content.

I do wish people would be more considerate of the fact that words CAN have an impact on a person's mood and even mental health
(Don't Worry, nothing bad happened to me recently, but it really makes me upset when people spew "They're just words!" / "People shouldn't get offended by them!" crap).

not specifically regarding youtube but this reminds me of the instagram/tiktok influencer voice. i can’t really describe it but it’s extremely tonal and kind of sounds like they’re talking down to their audience.

found this great video on it, irony: it’s on tiktok

That video is perfect. I used to tell people, back when more people watched the nightly news on TV, that the news anchors all spoke in a certain way that was annoying. They would always end their sentence with the last word on a down note before going into the next bit of news. Like they were trying to make sure we understood the seriousness of the information. Then suddenly rising up with upbeat notes to get your attention again for the next story.

I have one day to do a philosophy project... contemplating whether or not to make it about fullmetal alchemist for ****s and giggles, since my teacher's pretty easy going. I'll probably do one about the characters in narnia because that's a pretty generic book and then hand up the fma one too, just in case

After a lengthy hiatus due to other things taking up my attention, I'm finally back on Dragon Quest XI and I've been playing it all day today 🙂 it's a lot of fun and pretty challenging, especially since I have Draconian difficulty turned on.

I did a Puff-Puff on a Troll and the results were very.... Yes 🥰😘💖
