pirate theme or mermaid theme?

I agree! I don't have anywhere to put the mermaid stuff that would match my island aesthetic, but the pirate stuff fits right in!

Pirate club! I love the dresses and the stuff! But the mermaid set is getting a use on my island with Sprinkle's front yard. Sprinkle can be a pretty mermaid princess, I'll just sit over here with my barrels
PIRATE. i'm here for kawaii desu but mermaid is uggo imo and idg why it's liked (i'm sure people are doing cool things with it, but not my vibe). i'm trying to keep myself from being spoiled by the new gullivarr items but the few i've seen i've been very into. gimme that treasure chest!

Pirate. The mermaid furniture is a little too sparkly for my taste but I love the clothes. It reminds me of the Barbie movies.

I like a mix of both themes, but pirate 100%
For example, I'm experimenting with a combination of shell/mermaid on the right side of my island and pirate/fossils on the left side. It's coming out great so far.

I think the mermaid stuff could work great with the shell furniture, too.
I think the only thing I like from the mermaid set is the sofa because it reminds me of the chaise lounge in NL.

It does! Especially the pearl colors of the shell furniture.
Oh, that would be absolutely amazing! Imagine if that was the "dark" customization option, and there was also a "light" one, in mostly a pearlescent white with just hints of a rainbow of colors, with cyan, pink and yellow coming through the most.
You can recolor the shell furniture, too, so that's a plus.

Mermaid! I love how it goes with the shell and underwater stuff. I'm making a big mermaid themed basement! I really love the pirate stuff too and can't wait to put some on my beach (when I see Gullivarr that is)!
If I really have to choose one, I would say a pirate theme just because it's easier to like? I don't know. I'm not a big fan of both, to be honest, but they're fine with me. Not hate, not love. Just in between when it comes to preference. Well, my girlfriend (my second character is based on her) wanted a bedroom that has shade of pink and being like under the water. I didn't want to display the whole mermaid set so I kind of mixed everything up and choose the furniture that fits the theme.I would prefer calling it underwater-inspired bedroom or just girly themed instead of mermaid. A friend here on tbt, which my fourth character is based on, likes pirate so much so she, too, must have her own theme plus it's awesome to have a female pirate! I probably won't display these stuff outside as I'm content having them as part of my rooms. I'm not sure, but it's nice to have both theme.

going for an underwater little mermaid theme for my basement. Shell furniture in pearl is looking really nice with it. Pirate stuff would be cool for rocks but sadly not got any yet (original Gulliver today
