Physical safer than Download?

Well this is freaking me out! I got my DS the other day with the digital copy and it was fine. I took out the SD card to upload some pictures and forgot to put it back in. When it didn't pop up I panicked, but I realised it's on the SD card. So if my DS broke could I put the SD card in another DS and still have my data?

Yeah, if your DS ever broke I believe you can simply just take out the SD card and insert it into your new one.

oh gosh now im all scared!! i mean i already knew that having a physical copy was ***technically*** safer than digital, and i do have both, but my main town is on my digital... but then again if it saves on the sd card, i doubt there is too much of a risk, even on the off chance my ds breaks (which it will not, i will guard this pikachu with my life)

i really do like having digital better though since my other main game is pokemon and this way i wont even have to take out the cartridge if i feel like switching back and forth ^u^
