It's called Chinese New Year.

Though I'm still confused as to why Taiwan celebrates it when a good amount of the population hates China with a burning passion. :I

It's the Year of the Tiger.

Taiwan is a little confusing, I know it was a part of China at some point, but when the government turned communist actually broke away. Either way the new year is still a tradition. The USA broke off of England but still kept a lot of traditions.

I used to love going to big parties in chinese restaurants and then going out and watching the fireworks on the chinese new years...

Didn't hear any news about them this year though...

I really need to go back to Hawaii if i ever wanna celebrate a Chinese New Years D:

Even though I have no hint of Chinese in my blood, I also like Chinese New Years more then Valentine's Day.

IT'S CALLED LUNAR NEW YEAR. No more stereotypes and confusion, 'kay?

@mez: 20? Pffft. I feel special having over 70 relatives I normally see.
