As many of you know, Avery has recently moved from tier 6 to the bottom of tier 5. However, I still don't think it's enough after seeing all the Avery fans out there. I've seen a huge increase in his popularity and I was wondering who else agrees that Avery needs to move up. Comment or like my post if you think Avery deserves to move up more
i think avery's pretty cool, but this is probably something you should talk to alexi about rather than making a petition. and personally, i don't think it would make a difference whether you got 10000 signatures or none at all, for the simple fact that villagers are ranked how they are for certain reasons, and just because one is on the low side doesn't mean they're not awesome, it just means they're not in as much demand as others.

Ah, you see, but that's why I made the thread. Alexi's not going to listen to me if I VM her like "Hey Averee is kool, plox make him beter" But if I say "Hey look, this thread shows that Avery is loved by more people than you might think, could you consider advancing him in the tiers some?" then she's got an actual factual reason for wanting this.
Actually she has always listened to my input whenever I've suggested something to her. Mostly because I didn't approach it the way you've just said it but I gave valid reasons. It's updated every week after all and there are lots of changes going on all the time. You could get all these signatures now and bump Avery up a tier for this week only to have them bumped back down the next. Might just be worth pointing out to her what you think and give your opinion
I haven't really noticed Avery's popularity going up to be honest, I think it's probably because when i'm looking for my dreamies, i'm so set on finding them I don't really notice any of the stuff in the looking for thread. From what I recall I haven't seen that many people looking for him, or have seen him pop up in a lot of cycling threads as of when I last checked the villager plaza. He seems like a pretty cool villager actually and i'll probably consider him if Genji moves out. He looks awesome and streampunk. Although i'm not so sure about his recent popularity since I haven't seen many people with him in their signature or lurking for him on cycling threads or even in cycling towns. At least he did move up a tier.
I'm not sure exactly how Alexi determines the tiers, but I think the list is based off of how many people are looking for villagers in the looking for thread and how quickly and for how much villagers are being sold for. So it doesn't really matter how cool people think Avery is, what matters is how many people are actually buying him and how much they are paying for him.
Yeaaah.. Everyone who responded did so perfectly/said exactly what I would've said. I can explain exactly what I do everyday in the VTP/how I make my updates if you would like.
Basically at the end of each week, I have yet to see Avery's name. Nobody is ever looking for Avery, but I did agree with you and a few others that he should advance; hence why I took him out of tier 6. I don't think a petition is going to help, rather you can post in my thread or PM me with any logical info as to why he should be in tier 4 or higher. Logical info isn't a petition with lots of signatures. :/
