Petition asking for a Summer Carnival pls

When I posted my first post on this thread, I was leaning towards no. Now I'm really beginning to oppose this. Having it yearly seems like a better idea to me.

There's nothing wrong with expressing ideas, suggestions, or wants regarding TBT. My only concern is when these things quite frequenetly turn from 'wants' to expectations and disappointment if they don't happen.

Lotta work on short notice to be honest, summer's right around the corner after all. There's always Smash Camp though you never get anything redeemable on TBT, but it's always a lot of fun getting together with other Nintendo forums, getting paired into groups and getting to know folks.

I'd agree with this. If I'm not mistaken, a fair few of the mods go to school it's nice to have summer off. Not sure on that though.

I did smash camp last year, it was really fun! I will be joining again and hope to see a lot of you there too

I actually was talking about doing something like this a few weeks ago...a mini Camp Hyrule like deal. Of course it may not be as fancy or sponsored but I'm sure we'd have a lot of fun with it anyway.

A camp would be pretty sweet, though it'd have to take place before or after Smash Camp. Feel like it would be kind of rude if we stole a bit of their thunder.

I don't think we should be putting so much pressure on the staff to make events for us. Yeah events are nice but they are people too and have lives, jobs, relationships and what not. It takes a lot of planning to make an event for such a large community and it's so close to summer, these things need planning. If you get your hopes up for something and it doesn't happen, you'll be disappointed! As nice as it would be I think petitions are pointless as this won't force them to go through all of the planning needed.

I won't pressure staff to create an event. However, if they're considering creating an event - if they are, I wouldn't be against it. <3
