I already have 2 normals and might settle for 2 smugs next; I have several dreamies from different personality types and I wouldn't want another villager from the same category to prevent repetitive dialogue. This makes my dreamies less unique in my eyes.

i currently have 2 peppy (apple, audie) and 2 snooty (blanche, freya)! i think i don't mind having duplicate personalities very much, but smug is the most interesting to me!

Peppies, because they talk the most and seem to have the most different lines. They also make me laugh the most often! I have three right now and I still don't get a ton of repeated dialogue. (Though I do get some, so I think 3 is a bit much - I'm hoping one will move out soon.

i guess some people don't like overly cheerful personalities, but i never get the hate that peppy villagers get... they make me LOL with their delusions

Though that's more because there aren't many Snooty villagers I like (Velma and Yuka are the main two I like and even then not THAT much) so I'd rather just have one of them.

Violet moved into my town the other day (move in number 8) and she's officially the first villager I don't really like.

I think my preference for personality types would probably be... Lazy > Cranky > Smug > Peppy > Uchi > Normal > Jock > Snooty

Snooties, crankies, and normals are my absolute favourite personality. The problem is I have ended up with 3 peppy villagers because they are all adorable (Felicity, Bunnie, and Tangy moves in in 2 days). I will be willing to let Felicity go though, preferably for another Snooty (Opal I need you!!)

Lazy and Uchi I think, I'd definitely rather fill up the last two spaces with those two, if the other eight were one of each personality.

I have 3 lazies and they are not going anywhere - Sherb, Erik and Zucker.

I also have 3 crankies but will need to get rid of 2 eventually and I decided to keep Octavian. I really like Boyd though because he's a gorilla and I find the cranky personality fits them so well. Wolfgang is also cool and he always does yoga, which I haven't seen the other crankies really do - so whoever said that the actions for some personalities seem to vary seems correct - unless I just haven't seen the others do it.

I'm still dreaming one day that Nintendo will let us have more villagers on the island with some expansion pack so if there is anyone I REALLY like, I'm keeping them for now.

lazy, smug and snooty! i have both bob/punchy and marshal/julian right now, and i'd love to have both olivia and mint too but it would mean sacrificing one of the other personality types lol

I agree with Lazy and also Snooty or Normal. The fact that the amount of dialogue and interactions being so diverse in this game makes it easy to feel like every villager has a different personality even if they are both lazy for example. I have Zucker and Bones, both lazy, but they still act differently to me at least..

All of them except peppy and lazy. I feel like lazy used to have more varity in their dialouge, but i might be wrong. I dont like the bug craze they got going on. I mostly like uchi, smug and normal this time around, even though normals bored me to tears in NL after having them for a while. I dont have a crancky yet so i cant say anything about them. I have two peppies right now and i noticed that interacting with one is enough for me.
I am sad to say that snooty seem kinda boring to me, they used to be one of my favorites.
