personality you wouldn't mind having multiple of

Not peppy! hahaha I couldn't handle 2 rubys running around my town. I love her to death but she's a ball of energy for sure. I wouldn't mind duplicates in cranky, uchi, smug, or lazy though!

Cranky, they are just to fun once they warm up to you honestly, makes for a nice always changing island

I had two normals and two lazys in my NL town and I was p okay with that
in my NH town tho, I have two normals and three smugs,, I still like the normals but seeing the smugs say the same thing is weird for me idk lol

preferably, having multiple uchis, normals, or jocks would be great :0

I have one of each, ended up with 2 normals and 2 uchi. I almost had 3 normals when I ran into Merengue in an island, but then I wouldn’t have had a cranky. (Besides, I already had Renee and really didn’t want a tripled personality and basically the same visuals).
I really think finding at least one of every personality type is really helpful to keep dialogue from getting as repetitive.
Since I’d move out either of my uchi villagers, I’ll honestly just go with whomever floats my boat when I island hop, except for getting a third normal, I’d just roll with it.

Peppies, because they talk the most and seem to have the most different lines. They also make me laugh the most often! I have three right now and I still don't get a ton of repeated dialogue. (Though I do get some, so I think 3 is a bit much - I'm hoping one will move out soon.)

Normals, for the opposite reason - they seem to talk the least, so I almost never get repeated dialogue, or if it is repeated, it wasn't very memorable, so I don't recall ever having heard it before. They're always polite, inoffensive, and never annoy me, so I imagine I could tolerate having quite a few of them.

I don't think I could have more than one jock, uchi, or lazy, as their personalities are either caricatures and a LOT to handle (jocks and lazies) or they can be rather rude (uchis).

In fact, I thought they made the lazies such cloud cuckoolanders in this game I don't have any at the moment... I really don't miss their dialogue about bugs in the walls.

Normals and crankies! Definitely couldn't handle more than one jock though, I've already heard enough dialogue about muscles and workouts.

Snooties and crankies. They're my favorites, sadly they don't have a lot of designs I'm a big fan of. I love a lot of lazy designs, but I don't like the personality as much.

I love lazy villagers! I have Bob and Sherb on my island and even when they repeat each other, the silly lines still make me smile. On the other hand, I’m starting to get tired of my two peppy villagers... might be time to get rid of one lol.

Normal and lazy. I had 3 normals, and while I loved them all, it was too much repeat dialogue for me, so just moved one of them out.

Normal and lazy especially if it's Mitzi and Punchy or Moe. I never knew there was a normal type. I always just called them the nice type because they always seemed so kind to me.

Definitely agree with this. Unlike you, I actually invited the 3rd normal because they were all too nice to resist lol. Ended up getting tired of it pretty quickly though. Doubling up on a personality is fine, but having 3 of one is probably too much if you care about varied dialogue.

Crankyyyy.
Also smug
