Tomorrow are my friends (twins) birthdays. We all love playing AC together and I recently have gotten into perler beads so I decided to make their favorite villagers.

Genji was the first big project I've done, he had a few slip ups but he still turned out good and my friend loved him.

My friends sister loves Ankha, she had to be remade. The first time, my boards warped and pulled everything apart but I tried another method to make her and she turned out great!

Here's both of them together, they're both about the same sizes. I made the sprites myself (based them off of official game work, spent a bit of time making the sprites in MS Paint then used GIMP for guidelines). In total it took around 6 hours to do both (including creating the sprites and the mess up with Ankha) but I had a blast making them. I'm considering selling some as commissions on my Etsy shop ($4/peg board, these both used two so it'd be around $8 if I did). I currently only have perler keychains on my shop that when purchased, gets donated to animal shelters/rescues in my area.

What do you guys think? Sorry if the images are huge!!

These are amazing! I always loved these kinds of crafts but I never knew where to buy the stuff. Keep up the good work ^-^

Thanks guys :) I was planning on making a few more after I move but not sure who I'd make! I am working on another one right now but it's not AC related.

This is really creative! Genji and Ankha look great, and even before I read your post I knew that it must have taken a while to create the both of them haha.
I can't wait to see more bead art from you :-]

I might just keep this as a thread for all of my perler art (or make a new one soon that features all types of my art including sculpture and digital work).

Here's the two pieces that really got me into perler art.

I took a crack at making perler keychains to donate to an animal rescue in my area for a donation event they do every few months. I haven't finished the third design yet but I was super happy with how they turned out that I had to make some other things. Ankha and Genji were my next projects and I'm currently finishing up one now (but ran out of white perlers so I've decided to pick some more colors up after work).

I really like working with perlers, it helps me practice keeping a steady hand and I plan to do more in the future! Someone already asked for a commission from me on Tumblr! I really enjoy this hobby :)

Ommgg I remember making these so many years ago!! I was so young though, so they looked no where as good as yours LOL I'm glad you're having fun and creating such great art!

Do you have a giant ..peg board.. to make all these? (I remember having to put the beads on a board with little pegs so they don't move around)

I don't have one of the giant sized ones yet, I just recently bought a pack of 4 at Meijer and use them as a big pegboard :)

i have so many of these beads left i might attempt (and most likely fail) to make one

I just finished another project, I love We Bare Bears and so does my brother! I'm most likely going to frame this and give it to him :)

Thanks :) I'm considering putting it on my Etsy shop but my shop is mostly for things to purchase and then have the money donated to animal rescues and shelters so I'm not sure yet!

I was working on a design for perlers that will have the profit donated to animal rescues and shelters when my friend asked if she could see a trans glow in the dark one, so I went and made one!

This is the unironed verison, I haven't gotten a picture of the glow in the dark but it's very nice :) I may consider making the rest of the lgbt+ flags and donate the profits to a resource group that helps people in the community.

I recently finished a Hama Bead Isabelle keychain :) It's really flexable and is just a little bit bigger than a quarter.

Oh dang, I haven't made Perler Bead art since I was 2-3!
These look amazing. :)

I recently finished some Eeveelution perlers! :) Planning on finishing Espeon, Flareon and Glaceon once I buy some more colors I don't have!
